Filenté Productions is a film production company founded by Aaron Caston (Aj) and Max Kwiatkowski, two filmmakers passionate about crafting stories that leave a mark. We’ve been busy bringing our own narrative films to life while helping others create their films, commercials, music videos, and more! As well as always chasing that spark of great storytelling.
Right now, we’re in post-production on our latest feature, Sketch in the Ground. A project that’s pushing us to dig deeper into what makes a story resonate. At Filenté, we’re focused on building a portfolio of films we’re proud of and teaming up with talented artists who share our love for storytelling. We want to create a space where creativity thrives and stories come first.

Aaron Caston
Founder & Co-Owner, Director, Writer & Editor, Filenté Productions
I’m Aaron Caston (Aj). Founder and co-owner of Filenté Productions. My extreme love for film came after four years of asking God, “what is my purpose?”. My purpose was given to me in the form of a whisper. In 2020, I started theater acting but shortly transitioned to Directing/Writing after a lack of confidence while acting. What made me realize film was for me was the fact that I shortly fell in love with photography as well. Simply being behind the camera is a spot where I’m most comfortable. It’s a spot that when I’m there, it brings me the most joy out of anything that could bring me joy. Not only is it a way for me to express myself, but it’s a way for me to make sense of the life that I live as well as my thoughts, ideas, dreams, and the many images that come to my mind. In 2023, I decided to create a Film & TV Production Company called “Filenté Productions”. In 2024, I added my buddy Max to the company for many reasons. One being he has the same amount of drive and passion as I do! I now enjoy sharing my passion with others who are involved with whatever project we’re working on at the time too! When I talk to my mother about my passion for film, I often compare Directing/Writing to the act of breathing. It’s something I need, something I do with ease, and something I will do until the day I pass. There isn’t any word in the dictionary that can really describe my love for film. “Passion” isn’t enough. “My Calling” just simply isn’t enough. I like to say that cinema runs through my veins. I also like to say that images are the utmost important to me. “The Image is the first language we learn, and it is the last thing we see.” - Aaron Caston. (Aj)
Max Kwiatkowski
Co-Owner, Director, Writer & Editor, Filenté Productions
I’m Max Kwiatkowski, co-owner of Filenté Productions, and I’m hooked on telling stories that feel fresh and alive. As a director, writer, and editor, I lean into animated, stylized visuals to shake up the usual way films unfold, always chasing that spark of great storytelling. I’ve directed five short films, including Masz Piwo (check it out on our YouTube or Instagram), and each one’s been a chance to explore what makes a story stick. I also helped produce our feature Sketch in the Ground, a project I’m really proud of. Now, I’m working on my first feature, Tripse, hoping to bring something new to the table.
